South Australian Living Artists

2023

Denise Officer

Since leaving Prahran College of Advanced Education in 1975 Diploma in Art & Design, majoring in Drawing and Sculpture - I have marked many canvases in the visual and performing arts: theatre, film, television, Rock’ n Roll ( Midnight Oil & The Sunrize Band – Maningrida Arnhem Land ) and at State and National institutions: Artback Northern Territory Arts Touring, National Gallery of Australia, Tiwi Islands Shire Council -  as some exciting highlights.

All my life I have maintained an avid interest in drawing as a discipline that informs / forms the basis of my creativity.

Jill Foster

A beach kid who grew up in Largs, Adelaide.

Bright colours and a fun lifestyle along the SA coast translate to bold decorations on wheel-thrown / hand-built bowls, plates, oil bottles, and quirky objects as one-offs.

A fascination with travel - Japanese culture and brushwork filter into Australian themes – “the outback filters through my fingertips.”

Glenys Christopher

My painting journey included several overseas painting trips to the Italy, Greece, California, China, Croatia, Japan, and Norfolk Island. My paintings in this exhibition are a kind of mini retrospective of my painting time in Burra.

Whether I’m there yet or not I’m not sure, and I’m not sure where it is?
