Andrew's vegie and pollinator garden This garden will open in April 2021
A working vegie garden that gives you the best of both worlds. An abundance of fresh produce with special attention to heirloom varieties, especially tomatoes, focusing on hardy good producing plants with the best flavour. Above are pictured tomato "red and black" with a super sweet flavour, and eggplant "Violetta d'Firenze" with glorious creamy flesh making it beautiful to eat. Autumn is a busy time, much of the produce is harvested and preserved for use during winter. We spend only a small amount on vegies, and are so spoilt by our produce, supermarket veg just doesn't measure up. Flowers are grown alongside vegies to attract pollinators and beneficial insects. We have alot of bees, native bees, ladybirds and more. The garden also is home to birds, sleepy lizards and bluetongues. The flowers have increased pollination in the garden and also give us a redy supply of cut flowers. If you're lucky you may see some native bees, the blue bandeds love pollinating tomatoes.
